Gt Bank Launches Mobile Money to Make Life Easier for Customers

Guaranty Trust Bank plc has successfully established its mobile money product as a preferred option for discerning users of alternative banking channels in Nigeria. The GTBank Mobile Money has recorded remarkable achievement in both the download and usage of the application as a result of the Bank’s penetration strategy and world-class partnership with major Telecommunication Companies in Nigeria. This development comes pursuant to a license granted by the Central Bank of Nigeria to the bank for the roll-out of mobile money services across Nigeria.

The GTBank Mobile Money service is a convenient, secure and affordable way of sending money using a mobile phone. The service can be accessed by users of smart phones through the various app stores or by downloading the Mobile Money application (“app”) from www.gtbank.com/mobilemoney. In addition, the Mobile Money app has been automatically installed on the SIM card of all Etisalat subscribers irrespective of phone type.

A distinctive feature of the GTBank Mobile Money service is its capacity to allow subscribers send cash to recipients that do not have bank accounts, and such recipients make card-less cash withdrawals from any GTBank ATM nationwide. All that the recipient needs is a mobile phone (any type) to experience the service.

GTBank Mobile Money Application operates on a user-friendly platform specially designed to enable multi-level services such as; phone to phone transfer of funds, airtime purchase, and bank account to mobile phone wallet transfer of funds amongst others.

Guaranty Trust Bank plc has remained at the forefront of banking product innovations since its inception. Its most recent introductions include its SMS banking which allows customers to request for their account balances, Nigerian Uniform Banking Account Number (NUBAN) and subscribe for transaction notification service through their mobile phones.
