RESPONSIBILITY FOR EX-SERVICE MEN IS FOR ALL NIGERIANS, SAYS UDUAGHAN

udughahuduaghajuduaghah1uduaghahDelta state governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has called on Nigerians to take to the welfare of ex-service men in the country as a national challenge with everyone contributing to it.
The governor, who made the call at the 2013 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Ceremony yesterday in Asaba, said the care of ex-service men should be seen as a responsibility for all adding that all hands should be on deck to support the ex-service men.Dr Uduaghan said that his administration will rehabilitate the ex-service men and their families especially those who lost their dear ones while serving the nation.‘’It is my belief that ex-service men who served this great nation should be taken care of adequately. My administration will ensure that ex-service men in the state are exposed to some job opportunities and all promises made for their welfare will be implemented’’ he added.He said that the Remembrance Day was a day set aside to pay homage to the ex-service men who laid down their lives for the unity of the nation and enjoined Nigerians to contribute generously towards the welfare of ex-service men.The governor called on the younger generation to learn from the sacrifices made by the ex-service men and to, at all times be patriotic and serve the nation selflessly.Dr Uduaghan also promised to continue to give support to families of the fallen heroes to improve their living standard.
