What happened? How did it happen? What is the next step?
● Short historical background of the Parish
C.C.C. Harton Street Parish, London, is the first parish outside the African shores, hence, the mother parish of all parishes in Diaspora (Europe, America and United Kingdom). All occupants (Shepherd and members) of the parish should always see themselves as temporary tenants with the incumbent Pastor at Ketu (Rev EMF Oshoffa) as the landlord.
The parish was established as a result of spiritual revelation of God, through Late Prophetess Adenijolu (first Celestial Prophetess in the U.K.), who God used to instruct Mrs C.A Olaiya to establish the church. Surviving foundation members
Mama Adegbokun (now at Sidcup Parish), Mama Durojaye (now at Elephant and Castle Parish), Mama Delano and many other young foundation members (names withheld) are still very much available if anyone wishes to confirm the above facts.
MSE A.O. Fatusin
Celestial Church of Christ in the U.K. and in particular C.C.C. Harton Street, started in London at 2 Berriman Road before moving to 7 Elthorne Road, London, N19. It was there that the spiritual revelation came through a dream that the church should move down to South East London, as God shall provide a permanent place of worship.
It was following this that the church relocated to St John’s Hall in Lewisham Way, before God provided 8 Harton Street, Deptford London (as per the revelation). The premises was purchased in 1973 and became completely mortgage free in 1990).
Late Prophet Aje (Baba Tina) of Kaduna Kabala was the first Prophet, while Late Baba Sorinolu was the first Leader in Charge.
The Founding members of C.C.C. Harton Street Parish handed over full control of the parish to Ketu, as per the CCC constitution (Bluebook), thus making C.C.C. World Headquarters, Ketu, the overall manager of C.C.C. Harton Street Parish.
By virtue of this action, C.C.C. Harton Street is the official seat of the Pastor and his Representative in the UK. The Head of C.C.C. UK Diocese, as the representative of the Pastor, has the responsibility of managing C.C.C. Harton Street Parish and all other parishes under the UK Diocese.
Therefore, the leadership management crisis at C.C.C. Harton Street Parish, which has been a perennial challenge, should be curbed now to bring sanity and progress to the C.C.C. UK Diocese.
