Our attention has been drawn to a misleading post made by Bar. Imo E. Akpan on the face of the Christmas Unplugged show, a subsidiary of the Ibom Christmas Park Project 2023.
Ordinarily, we would not respond to those sorts of posts simply because they are distracting and misleading, but in order to set the records straight and clarify issues so that this misinformation should not deter well meaning guests and tourists from visiting Akwa Ibom State- the first choice holiday destination and Nigeria’s best kept secret, we state, the following;
The Ibom Christmas Park, Christmas Unplugged and the Ibom Christmas Carols are proudly brought to you by the Government of Akwa Ibom State led by His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno and executed through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism headed by Sir Charles Udoh and this being a Yuletide season, we have opened the shores and boundaries of Akwa Ibom State to all and sundry in order for the world to explore our *Tourism potentials* through a visit to Akwa Ibom and our Tourism sites.
The Christmas Unplugged show and it’s affiliates is *STRICTLY* a *FAMILY EVENT* and as such, we hold *FAMILY VALUES* very dear and have been exhibiting same in all our dealings and exposure on stage and all through the Ibom Christmas Park by showcasing wholesome and moralistic content and values.
We are showcasing the *BIGGEST STAGE IN NIGERIA*, top notch security network, 100% local content when it comes to Artistes, Comedians, Dance Crews, Magicians, Spoken Word Artistes and other categories of Entertainers, Akwa Ibom’s Tourism sites, it’s magnificent, clean, green and serene environment and landscape, it’s hospitable people, it’s delicious and mouth watering cousine, it’s rich cultural and traditional heritage which will all be on display this December.
The said individual has *NOT* been contracted and is *NOT* the face of Tourism, Ibom Christmas Park 2023, Christmas Unplugged 2023 or the Ibom Christmas Carols 2023 and our affiliates and sponsors.
He is however, as every other Nigerian, Tourists and Foreign Nationals, free to visit Akwa Ibom State as is guaranteed by and enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The face of Tourism under the Administration of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State is His Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, *Sir Charles Udoh* and the shores and boundaries of Akwa Ibom State are open to all and sundry this Yuletide season.
