According to the SWAN Chairman in the state, Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, the eventual champion will go away with giant trophy and cash sum of $50 dollars.
Ogunsiji added that, the first runner up will get $30 dollars, while the second runner up will get $20 dollars.
The competition which serve off on Monday was sponsored by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi.
The three day event will be climaxed with an exhibition match between the SSG and SWAN chairman on Wednesday, 29th November, 2023 at the final day which will be held at the NUJ Press Centre, Iwe Iroyin House, Oke Ilewo Abeokuta.
The SWAN Chairman thanked the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Tokunbo Talabi for the sponsorship and interest in promoting table tennis sports in the state.
The Secretary to the state government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi is expected to grace the grand finale alongside the Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, former International Junior table tennis, Dapo Akiode, Commissioner for Forestry in the state, Taiwo Oludotun among other dignitaries.
