Kwara-born popular thespian, Yinka Quadri has applauded Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq over his huge investment in the creative industry as part of his efforts to rescue Kwara state from being only a civil servant state.
He made the pronouncement today while on a visit to the Kwara Sugar Film Factory, in the company of the SSA to the Governor on Culture & Tourism – Hon. Eyiwumi Muka Ray, and a proficient script writer, Mr. Sharafa Olabode.
The veteran actor described the film studio being constructed by Governor Abdulrazaq as a significant and long-lasting project that will subsequently position Kwara state as a new powerhouse in the audio-visual sector in the whole of West Africa.
“It’s a good thing that we are blessed with a selfless man like Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq who understands that the only ideal way to put a state on the path of sustainable growth and development is to invest hugely in human capacity building and critical sectors that will improve the quality of life and as well make the state economically viable. I’m very happy to see that Kwara state is regaining its greening under his watch ”
While expressing his satisfaction with the progressive efforts of the government to facelift the state, he urged his entire colleagues in the creative industry to make Kwara state their preferred place for their activities as the facility would undoubtedly, be well equipped and furnished to a world-class level upon completion.
