The alleged political thugs working for the former Governor of Osun State and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gbeyega Oyetola, have reportedly launched violent attacks against the member of the”Omoluabi Progressives Caucus”, Mrs. Tutu Olanrewaju, belonging to the camp of the former State Governor and immediate past Minister of Interior,Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

The attack was in connection with the earlier Suit on the matter that snowballed to the recent Suit N0:HOS/M.508/2023 brought before the State High Court, Osogbo Judicial Division by Mrs. Olanrewaju, on behalf of the Aregbesola Caucus of the State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was revealed that the Oyetola camp orchestrated the violent attack against the person of Olanrewaju on her way from Igangan-Ijesa to Ilesa on the 2nd of October,2023, after they learnt that she would institute an action against them in the Court of competent jurisdiction.
It added that the matter had since been reported to the Police in the area, adding that the case was initially instituted at Osogbo Magistrate Court before refiling at the State High Court,Osogbo Judicial Division on 10th day of October,2023 and it was during this period that they launched the violent attack against Olanrewaju by the thugs
It was learnt through her family member who did not want his name in the news for security reason on Thursday, alleging that the thugs were coordinated by the former Commissioner for Works to Gboyega Oyetola’s Government, Mr. Remi Omowaye, and they mentioned that they were working for Mr. Oyetola and Mr. Tajudeen Lawal, the State APC Chairman.
The family member further explained that the thugs stopped Mrs. Olanrewaju at Igangan-Ijesa,where they beat life out of her and she sustained several body injuries with deep cut and the family needs to rush her to nearby hospital for immediate intensive care treatment.
The information has it that she was later taken to unknown hospital for critical medical treatment by her family, adding that they refused to disclose the hospital to the public for security reason too.
It would be recalled recently that no fewer than Eighty-six (86) members of the party loyal to the former Governor of the State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola,were expelled from the party over the allegation of anti- party activities.
The Motion on Notice was brought before the Court in pursuant to sections 6(6a-c) and 44(1) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,as amended and Sections 53-58 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law(ACJL) of Osun State 2018 and under the inherent jurisdiction of this Honourable Court.
The application dated 10th day of October, 2023, was also brought before the State High Court under provisions Of Section 24-26 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law(ACJL) of Osun State 2018, which empowers a Judge to arrest, or order the arrest of any Suspect
Adding that Section 53 of the same law empowers a Presiding Judge to order a person likely to commit a crime or cause of a breach of peace to enter into a bond or do an undertaking to be of good behavior, or to do certain things, or to refrain from doing certain things.
