Eid-el-Maulud: Senator Salisu urges Muslims to be Tolerant, Selfless and Charitable

The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, has extended his heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to all Muslims across the country, particularly those from his Senatorial District, as they commemorate Eid el Maulud, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

According to a statement from his media office, Senator Salisu emphasizes the importance of the celebration, noting that it reminds everyone of the values of compassion, tolerance, and selflessness that the Prophet exemplified throughout his life.

He urges Muslims to emulate the virtues of the holy prophet by being trustworthy and charitable, particularly at a time when the country is facing challenges in charting a sustainable path towards greatness.

“I understand the challenges we face as a nation; however, the lessons from Eid-el-Maulud celebration give us yet another opportunity to come together as one community, regardless of our differences, to foster harmony and understanding. It is a time when we reaffirm our commitment to upholding the principles of peaceful coexistence and support for our leaders as they guide us on our path to making our dear country, Nigeria, great again.
