Police arrest Illegal Ogun monarch,4 others over land grabbing, trespass, attempted murder

The men of the Nigeria Police Force(NPF) attached to the Special
Investigation Department(SID) of the Criminal Intelligent and
Investigation Department(FCIID), Alagbon, Ikoyi-Lagos, had arrested
the acclaimed monarch of Oluke-Orile town, via Itori in Ewekoro Local
Government Area of Ogun State, Mr. Ishau Adeola Balogun, over alleged
attempted murder, trespass, peculiar insult, public assault, and
grabbing of the land belonging to the Children of late Chief Arayomi
Osuji who was the real owner of the vast land situated at Oluke-Orile
town.

9052631227)*, are; Shakiru Onadimokun, Bamitale Jubril
Akinsanya,*Kabiru Onadimokun, and Benjamin Oluwalolese and the accused
persons have been boasted to terminate the lives of the Children of
late Chief Arayomi Osuji* for rejecting them from encroaching their
father’s landed property.

it was reliably gathered that accused persons were rearrested after
they jumped police bail at State Police Command, Eleweran, Abeokuta,
adding that the case on the same subject matter was handled by Supol
Adewale Adeyinka(+2348033300778) as Team Leader and Inspector
Adegoke(+2347039884808) was the Investigation police officer(IPO) at
State Command, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) under its official, Mrs.
Sijuwade Adetona(+2348035642582), had taken over the matter from the
human rights body, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ)
and the Police authority has directed the Senior Police officer to be
in charge of the matter at Alagbon Police Headquarters, CSP Aina
Philip (+2348067990566) with the Team Leader, Officer
Emmanuel(+2348032546224).

It would be recalled that the Osuji Arayomi family of Oluke-Orile town
had earlier disowned Mr. Kazeem Ajiboye(2348032227257),an acclaimed
land agent and the Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Oluomo & Company,Ota,
to stay away from their landed property situated at Oluke-Orile town,
adding that it was contained in an Affidavit of Claims of Landed
Property belonging to late Chief Arayomi Osuji , dated 24th day of
March,2022 and deposed to by the Six(6) Children of Late Chief Arayomi
Osuji.

The names of the children are; Chief Babatunde Jimoh Arayomi, Mrs.
Olayide Adunni Osayemi(nee Arayomi), Mr. Idris Olamilekan Arayomi,Alfa
Saburi Arayomi,Mr. Kolawole Adio Olaogun- Arayomi and Mrs. Fausat
Modupeola Malomo(nee Arayomi) respectively.

Meanwhile, the human rights organization, the Centre for Human Rights
and Social Justice (CHRSJ) has called on the Inspector General of
Police(IGP), Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, and the Chairman, Police Service
Commission(PSC), Chief Solomon Arase to ensure justice for the
children of late Osuji Arayomi on the subject matter, which the
arrested accused persons were planning to take over their inheritance
through the backdoor with violent attacks.

Reacting to the development on Friday, the CHRSJ’s Executive Chairman,
Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman, urged the police handling the matter
at Alagbon Force Headquarters presently to ensure that the accused
persons were charged to Court after the investigation of the Police
might have been concluded without further delay in order to save the
lives of the children of Osunji Arayomi from the hand alleged criminal
land grabbers.

Comrade Sulaiman, therefore, commended the leadership of the Nigeria
Police Force(NPF) and National Human Rights Commission(NHRC) for their
job well done to apprehend the accused persons who have turned
themselves into terror in the community, alleging the Police officers
handling the matter at State Police Command, Eleweran, Abeokuta, of
bias on the issue.

Recalling that the arrest was a result of the earlier CHRSJ Petition
Letter dated *Wednesday 2nd day of March, 2022*, where the CHRSJ
called for * immediate arrest, investigation, interrogation and
possible prosecution of the aforementioned alleged thugs and
land-grabbers, adding that “Late Chief Arayomi Osuji was the owner of
the landed property situated, lying and being at Oluke-Orile town,
measuring approximately 91.988 Hectares and 227.308 acres of land vide
provisional copy Survey Plan NO.OG/93/2021/012* and another one at
*Ipaso, Oluke-Orile village via Itori in Ewekoro Local Government area
of Ogun State, measuring approximately (A)91.518 Hectres and 226.147
acres of land, (B)5.030Hectres and 12.431 acres of land vide
provisional copy Survey Plan N0:OG/93/2021/012.
