The Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday explained that it decided to postpone its mega rally for Saturday Governorship election to avoid clash with other political parties.
The party said mega rally is a mere jamboree that never translates to votes.
Publicity Secretary of the Party, Mr. Raphael Adeyanju, in a chat with Daily Trust said the postponement was because two political parties scheduled their mega rally for the same day.

According to him, after the party had notified its members of the mega rally, APC also decided to hold its rally which he said was against the guideline of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Adeyanju noted PDP members had decided to do house-to-house campaign before the deadline for electioneering.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) had held its mega rrallyon Tuesday with leaders of the party, including 14 governors and the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Ado-Ekiti.
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) held its rally on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti and was attended by many chieftains of the party.
