Nigerian Group in the Diaspora sets to find solutions to problems facing Nigeria, predicts winners of US, Ondo and Edo polls.

Better Nigeria, an advocate group with more than 300 strong members who are Nigerian professionals in Canada, Europe, and America , has expressed its readiness to proffer solution to some of Nigeria’s problems.
The group, aimed at promoting good governance in Nigeria, has also predicted winners of Edo and Ondo gubernatorial elections and has shown commitments to identifying problems confronting the country like the electricity challenge, inadequate security, infrastructural development, Visa restrictions to the USA, and Nigerians in Diaspora Voting Rights.
Better Nigeria Inc, led by a former United Nations Diplomat, Dr. Salewa Olafioye , showed this resolve to find solutions to the issues and make recommendations to Government and people of Nigeria as their main focus.
The secretary of the organization and President of Nigeria Foundation of Michigan, Chief Titus Amadi stressed the need for government to diversify the economy and offer improvements for investment with Nigerians in the Diaspora to enhance necessity partnership for Nigeria.
Dr. Olafioye , also a Chieftain of African Organization UACO, had previously predicted correctly Presidential re election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari and the BN is also giving predictions about the forthcoming United States of America, November President election as well as Ondo and Edo state polls.
The BNU commended the Muhammadu Buhari administration for the unity of the fragile country, saying however that the performance of the government on security is unacceptable and that has led to the subsequent visa restrictions for the country.
The group noted that the Nigerian economy with the oil price down and the impact of COVID-19 has presented a big challenge for the country of more than 200 million citizens , expressing hope that with three more years for this administration, there’s a task that must be done.
As for the APC primary in Ondo State which the national secretariat of the party has approved indirect voting for, BNU predicts that it will be in favor of the incumbent Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, commending the collaboration of Dr. Dayo Faduyile, the immediate past National President of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA). Rev. Kelly Abayomi ,BNU Executive from North Carolina advised that the Ondo State Governor must continue with the infrastructure development and more importantly , the need to provide electricity for the Ondo south senatorial district.
For PDP , the group described Mr. Eyitayo Jegede as the candidate of electoral choice, but that Deputy Governor, Mr. Agboola Ajayi still has the power of incumbency and financial resources.
He added that Senator Kunlere is possibly the best candidate of the party but needs the endorsement of Govenor Nyesom Wike to make his candidacy valuable, why Dr. Eddy. Olafeso is the candidate of the establishment.
For EDO state, according to BNU Assistant Secretary from Texas, Mr. Jude Ukpebor, Governor Obaseki will be victorious in PDP but APC’s Pastor Ize Iyamu is the preferred candidate of the former Chairman Adams Oshimole .
In the United States, the former vice. President, Joe Biden as of today has the best chances to be the next president, but if president Trump has a chance of developing the vaccination of COVID-19, the economy will reset itself and the race will be a marathon to the finish line.
According to the group, the future looks bright for Nigeria in 2023 due to the availability of a lot of qualified candidates including Vice. President, Yemi Oshinbanjo,Obi Atiku, Tinubu, ElRufai, Sowore. Kingsley Moghalu, Osita Chidoka and other emerging candidates but it will be too early for further predictions on that now.
As for COVID – 19, the Diaspora group said until a vaccine is developed, and effective treatment modality is approved by WHO, CDC, and NCDC, social distancing, use of face mask, delayed school opening , adequate information on the need for hand washing, and avoiding large gathering must be seen as a must.
They therefore expressed optimism that the world would eventually defeat Coronavirus with God’s help and scientific innovation.
