The Ekiti State Forum of Local Government Secretaries has passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi as the leader of the Government and All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
In a statement issued by the Forum in Ado Ekiti on Monday, June 22, 2020, the Chairman, who is the Secretary of Ikole Local Government, Prince Michael Ogungbemi, described Dr. Fayemi as a conscientious promise keeper who holds his electioneering campaign promises to the good people of Ekiti sacrosanct.
The people’s Governor, who in his inviolable commitment to declaiming Ekiti from crass irresponsible political leaders whip and executive rascality of the immediate past government, and restore the values Ekiti Kete are known for from a morass of value disorientation, swung into action with five critical developmental agenda on assumption of office on October 16, 2018 focusing on Governance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Social Investment, Knowledge Economy, and Infrastructure and Industrial Development.
It is apposite to note that the Administration of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has silently and unwaveringly intensified efforts to accomplish its vision to take Ekiti to the crest of industrial growth, economic sustainability and dignifying value system.
The Chairman of the forum, Prince Ogungbemi acknowledged the impressive performance of the Governor characterised by regular payment of workers salaries, gratituty and pensions, establishment of rural neighborhood markets, renovation and perimeter fencing of schools across the state, financial assistance to cities and towns for community projects (grants in aid for community project), monthly financial aid to the aged and vulnerable people regardless of political affiliations,
Distributions of pallialitives to the poor and needy, construction of the Ekiti Cultural Centre, ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation of several roads in the three Senatorial Districts, attraction of big local and international investment into the state, respect for rule of law, the independent legislature, non interference in State Party structure and administration and many incontrovertible accomplishments.
The Forum lauded Dr. Fayemi for his humility and quiet exploits in delivering dividends of democracy to the people who freely gave their mandates to him in a credible, free, fair and generally acceptable election.
The Ekiti State Forum of Local Government Secretaries, therefore, encouraged the Chairman of Nigeria Governor’s Forum, Dr. Fayemi, CON, to remain steadfast in his developmental strides in Ekiti despite the uncharitable activities and political shenanigan and chicanery of unappeaceable and unrelenting armchair critics of his administration.
The Forum further affirmed that Governor Fayemi will continue to enjoy the unalloyed support and loyalty of all well meaning and appreciative people of Ekiti State as he continues to avail them of his responsible, responsive and credible leadership.
