Don't miss:

Tribute to Distinguished Sen Osinowo by Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro

He was a very proud Ijebu Man and doesn’t mince words to let anyone know this fact.

He was my closest NADECO pal with his loss, there will be no one to tell me about the NADECO struggle again.
No one to tell me about the experience of being locked up for the struggle to actualize Democracy in Nigeria.
No one to give me life lessons again with illustrations and stories

I remember the stories you told with so much knowledge and depth as though you were a part of it
Your devotion to Islam was admirable

I remember sometime in 2018 ,I had visited you at your residence in Ogudu, I told you about my ambition and you told me about your intention to remain in the house that you are content with being in the house. We parted ways that day with your blessings and support for my ambition. Months down the line you called me and said aburo and I corrected you saying Ömö sir but you jokingly said” o pè mi ni arugbo ni yen oooo èmi sweet 40″ and I responded’ mio to be sir’. You then went on to tell me the reason for the call that our last conversation isn’t as we left it that you were now running for Sen East district and further went on to give me reasons why you changed your mind. You further went on to say “don’t give yourself headache” that you were always “solidly behind me”because you knew I was caught in the middle. I thanked you and said when you become a senator I will start calling you Peperoni we laughed with your approval of my new nickname for you and we ended the call.

That is the kind of person you were.
You were content with what you had and where you were. You were a man of your words & most importantly you were a solid rock. You took care of your people.

I am glad to have met you in this life time

You will be missed sorely
