Mrs. Abiodun Holds Capacity Building for Special Needs Teachers, Social Workers

A 4 day capacity building programme for Professionals of Special Needs Schools in Ogun State organized by the Office of the Wife of the Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun begins on Monday, 17th February, 2020 at the June 12 Cultural Center, Kuto, Abeokuta at 10.00am prompt.

The programme, tagged “The Holistic Care of Children and Youths with Special Needs: (A Multidisciplinary Approach)” will attract teachers and professionals in the state owned Special Needs Schools as well as Social workers, Occupational Therapists and other categories of Therapists that include speech and language among others.

In a release ,the Press Officer, Office of the wife of the Governor, Kemi Oyeleye states that the programme is in Collaboration with Jesse’s Place Foundation(JPF), a United Kingdom based multi -disciplinary team of Special Needs Professionals.

According to the release, the special programme is aimed at addressing many of the difficulties faced by the State based Special Needs Professionals, the disabled children and their families.

The release has it that the programme is one of the Pet Projects of Mrs .Bamidele Abiodun, one of the two Champions of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) in Nigeria
