Lagos State government and management of Lagos State University on Friday met with stakeholders to begin process of reclaiming the portions of the University’s land encroached by some community members.
The meeting which was held at the school campus was a follow up to an initial resolutions reached after a robust engagements between the State Government, the Lagos State University and the leaders of the affected communities.
The present administration under Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu met with the land stakeholders to continue the engagements with emphasis on the need for regularization.
The Special Adviser on Education, Mr Tokunbo Wahab said that the earlier agreement had been reviewed, adding that the present administration has agreed to continue with the former arrangement. He explained that the window to regularize the land would be opened for just six months.
