Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Monday saluted Prof Ibrahim Agboola Gambari as he turned 75 years, calling the renowned diplomat an international statesman and a pride to the state.
“My family and I are proud to be associated with Professor Gambari whose achievements as an international diplomat have stood the test of time. His years at the United Nations and other international engagements have proven to be some of the brightest in Nigeria’s moments on the global stage,” AbdulRazaq said in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Rafiu Ajakaye.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Kwara State, I congratulate Prof Gambari as he attained age 75. He has been a good ambassador of our state on the national and international scenes. I pray the Almighty Allah to grant him good health and long life. I also felicitate with the family, friends and associates of Professor on this landmark occasion of his birthday.
“We are also using this occasion to commend his principled yet loud silence on Kwara over the years as a diplomat. Our administration welcomes him to avail us of his wealth of experience and to follow our gradual but steady steps to restore the glory of Kwara that produced him and his likes.”
