NIGERIAN Dr CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF AMERICAN COLLEGE OF NEUROLOGICAL SURGERY

Nigerian Doctor, Product of St. Gregory’s College, Lagos and College of Medicine of the University of Ibadan has been appointed the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Dr. Oyesiku got the best result in the School Certificate Examinations in 1972 at St. Gregory’s College, Lagos with six A1 (Aggregate 6), and after A’Levels at the Government College, Ibadan attended the Medical School of the University of Ibadan, graduating in my class with high honors.

The American Board of Neurological Surgery consists of 14 Directors selected from practicing neurosurgeons throughout North America. Directors are elected after nominations are received from the following societies: American Association of Neurological Surgeons (4), Society of Neurological Surgeons (4), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (4), American Academy of Neurological Surgery (1), Neurosurgical Society of America (1). Each director serves for a single six-year term. Appointments are staggered, and 2-3 new directors come on the Board each year.
