… Says I’m Optimistic Of A Greater Nigeria
Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has charged the Citizenry to always imbibe the spirit of love and unity so as to sustain the peace in nation.
He made this disclosure through his Deputy Engineer Rauf Olaniyan who represented him at the Special Jumat Service held in commemoration of the independence day celebration, while addressing the journalists at Oja’ba Central mosque, Ibadan, on Friday.
The Governor who stated that despite the challenges the country is faced with, added that he is still optimistic of a greater Nigeria.
While stressing further that it is only love and unity that can move the nation forward, he urged the citizens to love and tolerate one another, adding that “through unconditional love there will be rapid development for the nation.”
In his sermon, Alfa Agba of Oke Aremo, Alhaji Abdul-Fatai Adio commended Governor Seyi Makinde for running an open door system of governance, and prayed for necessary wisdom needed for the betterment of Oyo State.
Among the Government officials present at the mosque were, Head of service, Alhaja Agboola Mudalat, Deputy Chief of staff, Honourable Abdulmonjid Mojibola, Commissioner for Women Affairs, Alhaja Faosat Sanni and top civil servants in Oyo State
