A member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Honourable Shina Peller, on Monday, 12th August, 2019 described Iyake Suspended Lake on Ado Hill in Ado-Awaye area of Iseyin local government of Oyo State as a goldmine waiting eagerly to be tapped into.
He made this known during a tourism visit organised by the Iseyin Youth Development Group (IYDG) to Ado Hill, Ado-Awaye, Iseyin.
Hon. Shina Peller was on the tour with his son and daughter, Sultan Peller and Naomi Peller respectively, Oyo State House of Assembly member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju constituency, Hon. Dele Adeola, IYDG president, Aare Babajide Oniyo, members of Ado-Awaye Traditional Council and others.
The first point of call for Honourable Shina Peller, Hon. Adeola and others was the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Reverend Ademola Olugbile Folakanmi, the Alado of Ado-Awaye.
While welcoming Hon. Peller and others to the palace, His Royal Highness appreciated the effort of the IYDG president for organizing such a historic and purposeful tour of Ado Hill.
Ado Hill situated in Ado-Awaye houses more than seven (7) wonders and amazing tourist attractions including Iyake Suspended Lake which happens to be one of the only two suspended lakes in the world.
While speaking to journalists during the tour, Hon. Peller said, “Ado Hill Tourism potential is definitely a sure way of creating job opportunities for the people, diversifying and boosting our economy.”
In addition, the federal legislator said, “Ado Hill is definitely a goldmine that has to be tapped into, and I’ll do everything within my capacity to make sure that we fully explore the great potential of Ado Hill, especially Iyake Suspended Lake, which is one of the only two suspended lakes we have in the world.”
Similarly, Hon. Shina Peller added that Ado Hill has great potential for creative minds and the historical features can help to create amazing cinematography that will help to create awareness for the area and attract worldwide attention.
