Twice, I watched the 25 minutes 14 seconds interview by Mrs. Busola Dakola, where she alleged rape by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo some 20 years ago, in Ilorin, Kwara State.
First, I feel coming out 20 years after was commendable. It does not matter how long it took, that she could muster the courage, wash off the stigma and put this out in the public space was a great effort and lots of guts that must be applauded.
However, from her narration, she said she did not struggle, when the rape took place and this she repeated three times. That sounded like an “unintended consent”, perhaps, because she was awed by the façade of his father figure and just let him. It was more like he took advantage of your naivety, innocence and the trust reposed in him.
For me, a little effort would have sufficed especially, that she claimed there was an older person in the house. You putting up a fight at least could have changed the story you just told today, methinks.
This is because, apart from the part she claimed he covered her mouth, there was nowhere she alleged “force”. Even the mouth covering she didn’t say it was with violent force. Yet, he had time to go to his car to get a drink and you didn’t run upstairs to alert your elder sister?
I’m not blaming you, madam, because he came uninvited, but I feel strongly you could have done more, even if it meant bringing down the whole house. But I guess you didn’t realise at that age that he was human and so, you just gave in easily without as much a fight. I guess you made it too easy for him hence he kept going from victims to victims.
However, coming from a supposed man of God – the one you had put in the place of a father – to an underage god-daughter is to say the list, a fundamental sign of the end time.
Clearly, Pastor Fatoyinbo needs help. He is probably under a spell he is yet to fathom. I’ve heard too many of his stories from some of his victims and their relatives alike to make me believe he needs help. His problem is either spiritual or psychological.
I also believe he has become a common and crooked hostage in the hands of the devil, because he hasn’t truly been living his life like Jesus Christ. He is too ostentatious and panders too much to worldly things as if he was here to live till eternity.
After all said and done, my conclusion is that Mr. Fatoyinbo (I refuse to call him pastor at this point) needs to give his life to Christ. He has been joking about all along. He has little or no anointing in him.
You can’t be that susceptible to the manipulations of the devil and claim to be a pastor. Yes, temptations could come to men of God, but temptations cannot continue to be your way of life as a man of God. Oga, go and seek the face of God before it is too late.
Lastly and on a lighter note, why the set of a Church for the interview? What do they intend to achieve with that? The act didn’t take place in a church, so, why a Church setting? Just curious!
