A group, TeamNigeria4Change Kogi State chapter, has come out to endorse Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, for a second term, stating that such thumbs up for the state’s chief executive can only be patriotic.
Explaining the decision by the group in a press release signed by Isah Shaibu, deputy Publicity secretary of the state branch, Governor Bello has demonstrated an uncommon zeal and commitment to the uplifts of Kogi citizens and the state like he promised he would at the begining of his tenure, the group said.
“We have followed the good governor’s policy enectments and decisions in the last four years and we have also seen the impact on the lives of our people in Kogi State. With thanks to the state governor, we can now look forward to a mint new civil service dedicated to making Kogi work.
“Before the coming of Yahaya Bello, the civil service was all comers affairs where squere pegs were put in round holes. Today, we can safely say that our public servants are truly what they profess; public servants”, stated TeamNigeria4Change
According to the group, the governor has brought his skill in forensic accounting into governance. By these, Kogi states stands to see quicker results as is already apparent.
They also lauded the governor for his achievements in securing the state from the menace of insurgency and kidnap. “It is trite knowledge that kidnappers, especially with link to ISIS and Boko Haram had targeted Kogi as an enclave. But with Governor Bello, this bunch of criminals were put to flight from our dear state,” said Isah.
Adding further, the group said that Bello has been properly inspired by a no less befitting mentor than President Mohammadu Buhari.
“We can safely say that our governor is a mirror image of our dear president, only that he is a younger version. He has demonstrably copied measure that has worked nationally and replicated in Kogi. That is why our state, apart from Lagos and Abuja, is about the only state that is more hospitable to visitors, investors and people from all works of life,” TeamNigeria4Change’s deputy publicist said.
