A delegation of the Gateway Front Foundation (GFF), a nongovernmental, nonprofit organisation on Saturday donated gift items to students of the Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted Children in Surulere, Lagos State.
The donation was in commemoration of the 63rd birthday anniversary of its founder; an accomplished engineer and former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
The members of the delegation which included Ayo Giwa, Deji Kalejaiye and John Adenekan extended the goodwill of Otunba Daniel who chose to identify with them on that special occasion, urging the students to see themselves as champions despite their challenges as the world out there is available for them to conquer.
In response, the coordinator of the school, Sister Eucharia Uwakwe thanked the delegation and praised the efforts of the GFF and its founder in the area of support for the institution.
The Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted children, she stated, was officially opened in 1962 as a non governmental and non fee paying institution which depends on donations from religious bodies, corporate organisation and philanthropic individuals for its day-to-day running.
