Police bans use of face mask in Ekiti

The Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command has declared “Zero Tolerance ” on the use of “FACE MASK ” and  “COVERING OF THE FACE” by Okada Ridders/Motorcycle Ridders in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti  State.
2. Through intelligence gathering, it has been brought to the notice of the Police Command that some person(s) who engage in Okada Ridding with the use of face mask to cover their faces now carry out nefarious crime and perpetrate  heinous crime. However,In order not to get caught, they employ the use of face mask to hide their identities.
3. Due to much complaints received from the general public as regarding the use of face mask by these okada riders to commit crime, the command warns that from henceforth, with effect from the 11/02/2019, anyone caught violating these directive will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
4. Only medically approved nose mask and helmet is allowed for use. This is done for the purpose of ease in doing business in Ado-Ekiti and for Nigerians in the state.
The command is using this medium to thank the chief Security officer of the state,
His Excellency,the Executive Governor of the state, Dr.  John Kayode Fayemi for his proactive support on security matters as the arise.
