Akinlade’s the only candidate who visited me in ‘Ipebi’ – Akarigbo

The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, has surprisingly revealed that Hon Adekunle AbdulKabir Akinlade of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) was the only one who visited him among all the governorship candidates in Ogun State whil

e he was in Ipebi (seclusion).

Akarigbo made this revelation when the APM campaign team visited Remo Traditional Council to receive royal blessings ahead of the 2019 electioneering campaign.

Oba Ajayi, who described Akinlade as “my good friend”, said “we will address you as governor in the next six months.”

The monarch presented a Remo 20 Years Strategic Plan to Akinlade, saying “we are presenting this to you because we are sure you will be the next governor. You will find it useful.”

Monarchs from various Remo communities took turns to pray for Akinlade and his team to succeed in their bids to sustain the rebuilding mission.

In his words, Akinlade appreciated the Obas with a promise to work hand-in-glove with her running mate, who is their daughter.

He promised to keep to his words without marginalising any section of the state.
