Christmas: Adebutu Felicitates With Christians, Canvasses Peace

The governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Hon. Ladi Adebutu has felicitated with Christians on the celebration of Christmas, admonishing them to exhibit the spirit of love, kindness and perseverance among one another.

In a statement issued by the Associate Media Head of Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organisation, Dayo Rufai, the grassroots politician said that Christians should see the opportunity of the birth of Jesus Christ as a channel to seek for peace and continued existence of the entire citizenry.

Adebutu, while congratulating everyone, enjoined Christians to imbibe the virtues of Jesus Christ, who according to him promotes peace, unity, and harmony.

He urged the people of Ogun to endeavor to seek peace for the state and the nation at large, especially through the electioneering process.

“This period is the best time for us to seek unity and peace among ourselves. Jesus coming to earth came to fulfill a prophecy to actualize peaceful co-existence, among other things. In seasons like this, we should not forget the reason behind the birth of Jesus. The holy book describes Christmas as a festival of peace, unity, hope, fulfillment.” Adebutu added.

Adebutu said though, the country is going through trying times, he urge the people to be hopeful and more prayerful for better days are still ahead.
