Former Governor of Ogun State, and Deputy Chairman, South, PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Otunba (Engr.) Gbenga Daniel
has described the founder of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Dr. Frederick Faseun as a fearless fighter and a great Yoruba leader whose contributions to nation building and entrenchment of democratic ideals shall be greatly missed.
The former Governor while paying a condolence visit to commiserate with the family of the Yoruba leader who died on Saturday, stated that he was saddened by the passing of Dr. Faseun especially at this period when our country is going through a process of rebirth and his wisdom and experience would be in need.
According to Otunba Daniel, “Dr. Fasehun spent a good part of his life in the service of his people and humanity while leaving legacies in patriotism and statesmanship”.
“He was a courageous leader who stood his ground for equity, fairness and peace in a just society”.
On the entourage of Otunba Daniel include the Southwest zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Eddie Olafeso, amongst others.
