I see the celebration that attended the presentation of a certain WASC certificate to President Buhari, and I think we must be more proactive and pragmatic in our approach to this certificate saga… After all, we should cover our faces in shame that a certain Citizen Buhari became President without knowing where his Secondary School leaving certificate was. (My personal apologies once again for having supported the NEPA bill, NITEL Bill or any paper would do hubris, that underscored our desperation to take Jonathan out in 2015). We know better now, as Buhari’s incompetency is Olympic and known to even the kindergarten kid next door.
Since the Army refused to budge, insisting that ‘we do not have the certificate of Citizen Mohammed, is it Muhamed or Muhammadu Buhari’, pronto a certificate had to be produced anyhow and anyways. Unlike the Evan and Evans Enwerem scenario, remember him? He was a Senate President from the PDP and in a PDP dominated National Assembly whose tenure was short-lived because of the discrepancy in name and certificate, unfortunately such is the cause that Buharists and Buharideens defend. Buhari and his Team have placed before us within the last four years two different certificates, whether his real name is Muhammad, or Mohamed, or Muhammadu Buhari, and whether the errors manifest in ‘his certificates’ are typographical, man-made or God-made, I must here submit without an ounce of equivocation, that ‘Mr Integrity’, Buhari will go down in history as the greatest scam to have superintended over this space.
Buhari’s hypocrisy and Pharaseesm is legendary. As he lowers all known moral, ethical and intellectual bar in his quest to remain in power, there is indeed a morning after. And those who defend the indefensible, and excuse the inexcusable shall surely bite the dust, speaking deeply.
May we rest the certificate hoopla, as it is obvious that having served in the Army for more than 10years he has the Constitutional equivalent of the school certificate. And let’s #SENDBUHARIBACKTODAURA on the fundamentals. Yes, let’s tell him he has failed to fix the economy, he has failed to create jobs, he has failed to protect Nigerians, he has done collosal damage to our otherwise fragile brotherhood, that his government is all talk and less action.
Let’s tell him that his fight against corruption is perfidious and perfunctory, that he lacks the capacity to govern a country like Nigeria, that under him Nigeria has become the poverty capital of the world, as a Nigerian slips into the poverty rank every four minutes, tell him that after more than three years in power, Nigeria is still in darkness, and invoke the verdict of his Minister of Darkness, oh sorry, Minister of Power, Works and Housing, to wit, ‘only an incompetent government cannot fix power in 6months’… Let us therefore unite and with our ballot sack this incompetent, blame trading, hypocritical, perfidious and corrupt government.
***On a personal note, having x-rayed the motley of Presidential candidates, at the last count 75, I have chosen the monstrous challenge before us over personal ambition, and have withdrawn from the race. I have thus decided to work with, to endorse and support a candidate that must defeat Buhari in the forthcoming election, as the first cause of the challenge before us devolves on an inevitable collective resolve to stop the present slide to anarchy, poverty and hopelessness. I shall make my choice known in a few days. I am yet persuaded that A NEW, A BETTER AND A PROSPEROUS NIGERIA IS POSSIBLE. #SENDBUHARIBACKTODAURA
