The whole of Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/ Iwajowa federal constituency was thrown into jubilation following the declaration of Shina Abiola Peller as the winner of the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary election for the House of Representatives seat in 2019.
The election which was held in Iseyin on the 4th October, 2018 had Shina Abiola Peller, John Adebayo Olaleru, Funke Adelodun and Adeyemi Yakub as aspirants who contested for the ticket.
Out of the 1040 total number of accredited delegates, Shina Peller polled 915 votes, while Adeyemi Yakub, John Olaleru, Funke Adelodun polled 57 votes, 24 votes and 1 vote respectively. Also, 34 votes were declared void.
Having met all the requirements and scored the highest number of votes, Peller was declared the winner by the election committee chairman, Apostle Ezekiel Olaogun.
With this development, Shina Peller will be vying for the House of Representatives seat of Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/ Iwajowa federal constituency on the platform of APC in 2019.
