NOC patrons investiture ceremony

The stage is now set for the Investiture of new Patrons of the Nigeria
Olympic Committee (NOC). NOC as the custodian of the Olympic
Movement in Nigeria has identified prominent personalities within the
Nigerian nation to invest with the high office of Patronship of the
Committee.

2. Sir Marc Wabara
3. Mrs.(Dr) Zainab Bagudu
4. Major-General Adamu Dyeri (rtd)
5. Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu
6. His Excellency M.A. Abubakar
7. Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba
8. H.E. Emmanuel Uduaghan
9. Alhaji Bashari Mohammed Gumel
Being a Patron of the Olympic Movement positions honourees as iconic
international sports personality, carrying the emblem of Nigeria globally. It
is therefore our honour to invest the honourees with the Patronship of the
Olympic Movement which is in recognition of their meritorious contributions
to humanity, sport and societal development.
The responsibility and expectation of Patrons of the Nigeria Olympic
Committee is to advice and support the Olympic Movement as appropriate.
The formal investiture ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday,
23 rd October, 2018 at Oba S.A. Elegushi Palace, Lekki, Victoria Island,
Lagos while the investiture ceremony of those Patrons in the northern
segment will take place on Wednesday, 31 st October, 2018 and will be
hosted by the wife of Kebbi State Governor, Mrs. (Dr) Zainab Bagudu.
