APC REMO FED CONSTITUENCY CONSENSUS CANDIDATE: Matters Arising
I have been inundated by enquiries and way forward by my teeming supporters and well wishers alike on the above subject matter.
May i state for purposes of clarity and brevity as follow.
1. Our great party APC in Ogun State had a Stakeholder meeting on Monday 10th Sept 2018 at MitrosResidences Hall Ibara, where it was resolved that Consensus should be our first option and if it fails we go into direct primaries. I had the honour of moving thr said motion that day.
2. That on Tuesday 11th September we were invited for a meeting to pick Consensus Candidate at the Presidential Louge at Ibara Abk, we were there till 8pm before we were told to come back the next day because the House of Assembly list wasnt concluded.
3. That on Wednesday the 12th September we were at the meeting from 10am. By about 5.30pm the Governor announced the list of the concluded constituency to the whole world and stated the Remo Federal Constituency and two others were inconclusive. He also stated that the meeting is over because he and party chieftains (which included LG and LCDA party Chairmen) were leaving for Abuja immediately.
4. That since that Tiesday i have not heard from the party on the next date for conclusion of the three Federal Constituencies as all the party chieftains were still in up on till 10am today, Thursday the 13th of September 2018.
5. That considering that collection of forms were to close by midnight of Wednesday and the fact that in the last one month some almost 1000 well wishers had come together raise funds for the purchase of my Nomination Form, they went ahead to pick up the form to beat the deadline.
6. That i was sent an invite by the leadership of the Volunteers for the hand over and i have since commissioned the filling but refuse to submit same.
7. My decision to refuse to submit the form is borne out of my respect for party supremacy and our leader/Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun con fca. I trust his decision on this and other issues.
8. I beg my fans and well wishers to please bear with my decision not to submit the form and not to contest the Primary Election with the Party’s Consensus Candidate.
9. May i use this medium to congratulate my egbon and sister, Otunba Adewunmi Onanuga. She should be rest assured of my 100% support before and during the elections.
10. I want to thank everyone from our teeming party members in Sagamu, Ikenne and Remo North, Party Excos, leaders, my friend and brother (incoming Governor) Hon Adekunle A. Akinlade aka Triple A, my sister (incoming Deputy Governor) Mrs Adepeju Adebajo and other well wishers in and out of the party especially my wonderful media team, 35 Campaign Coordinators and the Akarigbo of Remoland my daddy.
11. Please we have hardwork on our hands, our great party APC must win all elective offices in Remo and Ogun State. We have to roll up our sleeves for the task ahead so that we have victory come Feburary and March 2019.
