Yesterday 3rd of August 2012, yours truly was live at the Last Flight to Abuja movie premiere which took place at the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas Lekki. A lot of Celebrities like Freeze of Cool FM, Shalamar Singer/Choreographer Jefrey Daniels, Oge Okoye, Kunle Afolayan, and many others were present to grace the occasion.
Last flight to Abuja was supposed to take a retrospective but sensitive look at an era in Nigerian aviation that we hoped was bygone. However, the tragic events of June 3rd, 2012 in Accra and Lagos once again thrusts Nigerian civil aviation safety to the top of the global agenda.
The movie which starrs Omotola Jalade Ekeind, Jim Iyke, Hakin Kae Kazimj and a host of others is about different set of everyday Nigerian travelers aboard the last Flamingo Airways flight scheduled to fly from Lagos to ABuja on a fateful Friday nite in 2006. The Plane cruises at 30,000 feet, tranquil and schedule. Unfortunately like a bolt of thunder, out of the blues, through a mixture of human error, technical failure and sheer bad luck, the plane rapidly develops major difficulties that send it teetering on the brink of disaster.
Will they survive??? Will this be their last flight to Abuja?
The movie is written produced and directed by Obi Emelonye and NHG recommends its as a much watch for everyone.
Here are the first pictures from the premiere(More pictures to come). Enjoy.
