When on 24th July Sen Lanre Tejuosho announced he was decamping from APC to PDP many were shocked and the party moved in and within 3days he went back to APC and even pledged loyality to the president while the party at the national level assured him that his interest will be protected but few days after this on his return to Abeokuta the party chairman in Ogun state chief Adebiyi was said to have looked him in the face and told him that he was now a stranger in the party who could no longer be trusted ,Lanre was in a crossroad because the PDP couldn’t trust him again and he he was been told pointblank he was no longer wanted in the party to clear way for his friend and Gov senator ibikunle Amosun to return to the senate
Lanre Tejuoso was born in Abeokuta as a prince of the dynasty of HRM Oba Dr. Adedapo Tejuoso, CON, Karunwi III, Oranmiyan, the Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, and Olori Adetoun Tejuoso. As the son of the Oba, he is also the grand son of one of the first female industrialists in Nigeria, Oloye Bisoye Tejuoso, the Iyalode of Egbaland.[citation needed]
He represents Ogun Center in the current 8th National Assembly. Senator Tejuoso is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health.[citation needed]
Prince Lanre is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was the chairman of the National Convention Committee of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) party in 2011 that led to the emergence of General Muhammad Buhari as the Presidential flag bearer of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) before it was merged to form All Progressive Congress (APC). He has also served as the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Environment Ministry and Special Duties under the governorship of Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
A lot of people who should know Lanre ran back to PDP because he was scared Sen Amosun will run him over and because he is tightfisted and many politician and people in his constituency say it lound and clear that Lanre despite never ever tasted poverty in his life has never really empowered anyone since his days as commissioner and now as senator and so there was really no one to talk to the Governor to reconsider him and the fact that he has no structure to disrupt the party in Oke ona as Lanre treated them as beggars and rely solely on Sia to make things happen.
Tejuoso completed his National Youth Service at the Nigerian Ports Authority Medical Hospital where he participated in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme. After his service year, he had a brief stint at Teju Hospital, now Iyaode Bisoye Tejuoso Hospital, where he practised as a medical officer.[2]
Tejuoso was on the board of many blue chip companies including Berger Paints Nigeria PLC, Custodian and Allied Insurance, Teju Industries Ltd, Iyalode Bisoye Tejuoso Hospital and Adonai Petroleum. He is the founder of Avicenna International School and Buckswood School.[citation needed] He was also the president of Rotary Club of Tejuoso, Surulere Lagos from 1990 to 1991 and was the Chairman of Lagos Badminton Association between 1993 and 1994.[citation needed] He founded a Non-governmental organization – Iyalode Bisoye Tejuoso Malaria Foundation to give medical assistance to the masses for free.
Right now, many are waiting for his next moves as he has told few persons that it is bye to APC but will PDP trust him to give him a second chance or allowed to be used as plan b but as it is this might be bye to the political career of the owner of the biggest restaurant in Ogun state right now Royal mandarin
