Ogunsua of Modakeke Joins Ancestors at 96

The transition of the Ogunsua of Modakeke, Oba Francis Olatunji Adedoyin, Olaogbin I, was officially announced on Tuesday morning by the traditional council through Chief Oloyede Olasupo Adio, the Oosa of Modakeke.

The Oosa declared seven days of mourning and directed that all trees in the community should be cut as a mark of respect for the departed monarch.

Those present at the briefing included Hon. Dixon Abiodun Amola, the Chairman, Ife East Central LCDA, the national executive council of the Modakeke Progressive Union as well as members of the youth wing of the union.

There had been speculations that the monarch had passed on about six days ago but since the Oosa was the only one that could officially confirm the Oba’s demise, no one was willing to discuss the matter in the ancient town.
