Convener, Ndigbo Integration Movement, NIM, Chief Bestman Nze-Jumbo, has congratulated former Abia State governor, Urji Uzo Kalu, on the recent conferment of Danbaiwan Hausa, on his person by His Royal Highness, HRH, Dr. Umar Farouq, CON, Emir of Daura, home of President Mohammadu Buhari.
In a press conference in Abuja, recently, Nze-Jumbo said that the cobfirment of the title further demonstrates the spirit of national integration for which Ndigbo anywhere they reside are known for. “This would be the second Chieftaincy title the former governor would receive in Katsina State alone. It is an apt demonstration of Kalu’s illustrious achievement for which NIM is proud of,” stated NIM convener.
The former governor, in 2005 was conferred with the title of Mayaki of the Katsina Emirate.
According to HRH Dr Farouq, the title was conferred on Kalu, in the Emir’s words, “in appreciation of your unwavering support to our son, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, Bayajida II. Your achievements in Youth Development is commendable and appreciable apart from your contribution to the development of Abia State and the country “.
By this, statement, says Chief Nze-Jumbo, Kalu’s elevation further underscored the need to be forward looking in the quest to have an Igbo President of Nigeria in 2023.
