The swearing-in ceremony of the preferred Deputy Governor candidate of Governor Rochas Okorocha, Calistus Ekenze has suffered a major set-back, following the blatant refusal by all judges in the state judiciary to partake in the supposed illegal exercise.
Source reveals to TNL, that the Governor has been advised to come down from his Olympian height and humble himself to do the right thing- this was the charge given him, by the Ministers in the Temple of Justice.
The implication, therefore, is that Prince Ezeakonobi Madumere MFR remains the Deputy Governor of Imo State.
TheNigerialawyer (TNL) recalls that some members of the Imo State House of Assembly has purportedly impeached Prince Ezeakonobi Madumere, despite the clear dictates of the Law. This has led to a strong reproach from the bench, asking His Excellency and his Law makers to abide by the Rule of Law, as no one is above it.
TheNigerialawyer gathered further that the action of the bench men was a result of a court order, in that, at the commencement of the ceremony, the Imo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for justice, Miletus Nlemadim, announced that the state government had complied with a fresh order from the court preventing the Chief Judge of the state, Pascal Nnadi, from swearing-in Mr Ekenze.
This leaves the spectacle to expect the next-line of action from the embattled Governor of Imo State.
