Ekiti2018: Debunk the Alleged Electoral Rascality or Apologies to Ekiti people, EGM Slams APC

The Ekiti Grassroots Movement, EGM has challenged the All Progressive Congress, Apc to debunk the alleged electoral fraud being perpetrated by some of its stalwarts and INEC officials in Akure and Lagos states respectively to subvert the collective interest of good people of Ekiti, calling on international community and non-governmental organizations to show more interest in the forthcoming July 14 election.
Addressing members of the group during a caucus meeting held in Ado, today, the pioneer of the group, Hon. Bamidele Oluwole, made this known and advised Apc to prepare to accept defeat without causing mayhem in Ekiti state that has witnessed uninterrupted peace since the beginning of Governor Fayose’s administration
Governor Fayose has raised alarm on the sinister plot of the APC, using Pascal Ukenwa and Agboola Abdulrasaq of INEC in ICT Department and the INEC National Commissioner in charge of Operations, Amina Zakari during an interactive programe on EKTV yesterday.
Reacting to the allegation, he berated All Progressive Congress and it’s candidate, Fayemi for being desperate to subvert the general interest of Ekiti.
“In a sane society, electorates are given opportunity to decide who governs them without the interference of security agencies and Electoral umpires.
“How can Apc that claimed to bring change be banking on Federal might in a state that is predominantly PDP?”
“Threatening brime stone and fire will not save Apc from defeat”
Speaking, he called on international community and domestic observers to be proactive in strengthening democracy in Nigeria and most especially in Ekiti during the forthcoming governorship election.
Commenting on PDP mega rally slated for  July 5, he enjoined good people of Ekiti and lovers of Governor Fayose and his Deputy, Professor Kolapo Olusola to join the mega rally to disgrace Apc.
“The July 5th mega rally will not only send a signal to the international community that Governor Fayose is being loved by good people of Ekiti, but serve as eye opener to ascertain Apc’s defeat in the July 14 governorship election”
In his remarks, he  charged Ekiti people not to entertain any fear or intimidation from federal government. Fear not, God’s mighty is supreme, he said.
