Wife of Ekiti State Deputy Governor and flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Deaconess Janet Olusola has held a meeting with the wives of monarchs in the state.
The meeting was held on Wednesday at the palace of Ewi of Ado-Ekiti where the oloris converged for their monthly general meeting.
Addressing the queens, the wife of the Deputy Governor said the coming of her husband to Ekiti State politics was not for selfish interest but will of God.
She urged the Oloris to give unalloyed support to Prof. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka in July 14 election in the state, saying her husband will not disappoint Ekiti people if elected.
Speaking, the Eyesorun of Ado-Ekiti, Olori Abosede Adejugbe thanked Deaconess Olusola for deeming it fit to meet the Oloris, adding that nothing will stop continuity agenda if it’s the will of God.
She said the Oloris have been in prayer for long over the forthcoming election, Eyesorun also commended the wife of the deputy governor for rallying needed support for her husband.
The wife of the governorship candidate also took continuity campaign to Ose Community in Emure Local Government to sensitize Akoko people residing in the state ahead of the election.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Emure Local Government, Hon. Sunday Okeya welcomed Her Excellency to the local government and said Ose Community has 22 out of 93 polling units in Emure.
The Community Leader, Mr. Onifade Micheal said Akoko people in Ekiti will come out in thousands to vote for PDP because of Deaconess Olusola who also hail from Akoko.
Earlier, the deputy governor’s wife was at Ifaki-Ekiti where all female lovers of PDP and Prof. Eleka from Ekiti North Senatorial District converged for a rally ahead of the soon to be conducted election.
On the entourage were Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Yinka Ogundayomi, Special Assistants to the governor on Windows’ Matter, Mrs. Titi Isikalu Ajayi, Personal Assistant to Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose, Alhaja Dele Hassan, Tutor General Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Mrs. Toyin Arogundade, Board member, Ekiti State University Mrs.Titi Adeyemo and the wife of Ikere Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Ayeni.
