JUBILATION IN ILARO AS ADEBUTU DONATES 500KVA TRANSFORMERS

Monday, June 25, 2018, will remain in the memories of the people of Ogburu, Ajilete and Folasade-Oke Ogbun communities in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government, Ogun State, as they took possession of three 500KVA transformers donated by Hon (Dr) Ladi Adebutu.

The event was part of the familiarisation tour to the LG and meeting with Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders from Yewa South LG.

Speaking during the presentation of the transformers, Hon Adebutu expressed his deep sympathy with the people of the affected areas for the harrowing experience of living in the dark and the collapse of businesses for a long period.

He told them the transformers were meant to help revive  the small and medium scale size economies of the beneficiaries adding that it would likewise lead to more job opportunities for the youths and enhance quality living.

In a letter of appreciation signed by the Ajilete Council of Chiefs and read by the, Bada of Ago Ilaro Ayilete and Secretary, of the body, Chief Falade Ayinde, the members expressed profound gratitude for the gesture which they described as “gigantic and enormous” adding that Hon Ladi’s service to humanity is exempliary.

It reads “Sir, this effort is regarded as an exceeded possession of high integrity and ability to serve the public unassumingly with good consideration of the people of different calibers in your mind. It is obvious that when by the special grace of God you become the next Governor of Ogun State come 2019, all and sundry will heave a sigh of relief”.

Meanwhile, at the meeting held with party leaders and members at Oke Odan, 1,800 members of All Progressive Congress defected to PDP. They were led by Deacon Olaniyi Jonathan, former Vice Chairman, Yewa South LG.

Highlights of the program included the presentation of 62 inches photo frame to Hon Ladi by Mr Saliu Bankole on behalf of the Folasade-Oke Ogbun Joint Development Association and musical rendition by 8-year old Master Basit Bakare. He produced a musical CD in honour of Hon Adebutu titled “Awa Omo Egbe Ladi”
