It is time to go back to our various wards ~ Jide Awe

The State Party Chairman of APC in Ekiti has charged all members  of the party on the need to work assiduously for the Flag bearer of the party, John Kayode Fayemi.

He stated this at the  stakeholders meeting held in Iyin-Ekiti, home of the leader of APC in the State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo.

The chairman, who in his words, said,  “The unifying force of the party is APC; the delegates have spoken and it’s imperative for all and sundry to support the party flag bearer. We have told our candidate that he must not only be magnanimous in victory but must ensure all inclusiveness”

He frowned at party members who made the Flagbearers’ home as their abode to go back to their various homes and talk more about the APC to the electorate.

The candidate of the party, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi appreciated party members for electing him as Flagbearer of the party. He heaped special accolades on the aspirants who contested the primaries with him.  In his words, he said,  ” After the primaries, I have met with not less than twenty of the Guber aspirants before going to meet with the president in Abuja. I have told them we own the party together and I have assured them that no one will be victimized, after all.”

On the aspirants meeting with the president, the Flagbearer said  “The President has told us we would be supported with everything possible to win the Guber election”

The Flagbearer who spoke about the governor of Ekiti and his party Flagbearer said he has seen them get more jittery since he became the Flagbearer.  He said there’s nothing wrong in using the federal might to guide and protect our votes come July 14th.

Aspirants who contested the primary with the Flagbearer present at the meeting include,  Kola Alabi, Diran Adesua, Debo Ranti Ajayi, Capt Sunday Adebomi, Oluwole Oluyede.

Party leaders and stakeholders from the state Executives were also present.
