I’ve decide to keep silent on the alleged ugly scene that occurred at Ifaki in the morn of the declaration of JKF, for two obvious reasons. One is the mutual love and respect of these two leaders towards each other and the other is the non- violence disposition of CSO to issues.
I’ve personally decided to react in the face of SBO’s warning and admonition for both CSO and JKF’s groups to allow peace to reign and shun violence in whatever forms before, during and after the primary election. SBO reminded us of our ugly past and the need to avoid a repeat. I agreed and still agrees with him in all totality because CSO and his group are peace loving, law abiding, urbane and of high moral standard. However, there are some posers I would want a sincerely discerning person to look at.
To the best of my knowledge, BAFEM was the first person to ever shown interest in the Guber and probably followed by SGA, before the floodgates. CSO’s movement started in the fall of 2014 and crystallized in 2015, culminating to his eventual declarations in the mid 2017. Throughout all these periods, months and years, despite vituperation, verbal attacks and insults from certain quarters, there was never a time one heard of physical assaults and fights between and amongst any of the Aspirants and their followers. To the best of my knowledge, there had never been any reported cases of quarrel or fighting between BAFEM Group and that of CSO, CSO and SGA, CSO and SBO/ ERO, CSO and OLUYEDE, KA is OK, Olumilua, Kayode Ojo, Bimbo DARAMOLA or MOB. Why is it that within a fortnight of JKF’s coming, and more importantly, his declaration day, we recorded broken noses and heads; and with security personnel giving a helping hands? These are questions begging for sincere answers.
Pray, did CSO’s boys go to Isan-Ekiti to cause trouble? No. Did CSO’s boys go to Ado to cause mayhem for Ojudu? No. Did CSO’s boys go to Ikere to attack or embarrass OLUYEDE, KA is OK, Olumilua and the rest? No. Did CSO’s boys go to Omuo- Ekiti to want to “show” BAFEM pepper? No. Did CSO’s boys go to Ode- Ekiti to place postals on SGA’s or FAPPY’s, in other to demean and embarrass them? No!
Now, WHY IFAKI?
Definitely, in this matter being bandied around,if truly it was political, CSO was never the aggressor. Our boys were beaten black and blue, arrested and later taken to Ado- Ekiti; yet, the aggressors were to first to shout to the whole world that they were the victims! Talking of, “abunije f’eyisi”!!
The whole world and the APC leaders, distinguished members and lovers should know that CSO’s is a peace loving group and would never quarrel nor fight anyone. If those shown love and affections have other motives other than peace and love, CSO would not be part of it. Those who love wahala and who have mad dogs should be appealed to, to chain their dogs.
In CSO’s group, love is our mantra, but we shall not be viewed as fools, who could be knocked on the head and keep quiet. Let it be known that no one has an exclusive preserve of madness.
