Vote Ojudu, He Is Tested says Dr Bunmi Obayemi

In my hotel room@ a CDC research conference, getting ready for my research presentation this morning and at the same time worshipping God with a Nigeria song video. I began paying attention to the characters in the video, pondering on why Nigeria is in overwhelming poverty?
I saw people crying and asking God to come and rescue them from very difficult situations like poverty, joblessness, hunger, insecurity, poor health care system, collapsed education system, frustrations and lack of basic amenities that should be the BASIC RIGHTS of Nigerians.
It is unfortunate that we have yet to get it right because of poor governance and corruption. Nigeria can’t proffer solutions to her problems despite millions of Mathematicians and problems solver the nation has produced.
The situation back home in Nigeria is so complex, hydra-headed and very deep that I sometimes wonder if things would ever get better again. Unfortunately, I don’t think we are ready for any change any more. An average Nigerian seems to have adapted to it all (well, maybe because of age of the nation’s challenge). The bad has simply become the norm.
Now, Ekiti state is one of the poorest states in the south, if not in the whole of Nigeria, with TEACHING being the only stable job, and this should get us thinking, (I don’t want to remember Teachers were owed several months salaries, I just don’t). The poverty in Ekiti is so chronic and evident that it can almost be seen walking about everywhere. The worrisome part is the number of great destinies and Potentials that poverty, obscurity and frustration have successfully killed or masked.
In times like these, only ONE man is needed to turn things around, ONE leader who has got people in mind and truly share people’s hardship and feelings. ONE man who has the know-how and more than capable through exposure, experience and divine grace to deliver our dear Ekiti State come July 14, 2018. I am excited we have found him. I am happy we found Senator Babafemi Ojudu.
Well, I have enough confident in SBO. You know why? He understands the problem and the depth of it. He knows that things are not right. He knows the right button to press as soon as he hits the ground running. He knows the right pulley to pull or turn, and the right path and direction to follow at this chaotic junction. I am sure SBO has got what it takes.
If you are privilege to read this piece, wherever and whoever you are, whether you are a delegate or not, let us count on you to use your vote to usher in a dispensation of great change in Ekiti. Please don’t sell the destiny and future of Ekiti for any amount of money. Don’t ignore the voice of the masses in Ekiti people crying and yelling for a new era of positive change and prosperity.
Let the delegates vote in SBO to be the flag-bearer of APC and the general public vote him as the Governor at the gubernatorial election. He’s been tested and found to meet all the qualities of a true leader.
