PDP Southwest Zonal Excos Congratulate Newly Elected Osun State PDP Excos*

The executive officers and leaders of the Southwest Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party had congratulated the newly elected executive officers of PDP in Osun state led by Hon. Soji Adagunodo.

Speaking during the Southwest Zonal meeting held in Lagos, the Zonal Vice Chairman, South West, Dr. Eddy Olafeso and the Deputy National Chairman South, Chief Yemi Akinwomi in their separate opening remarks on Wednesday congratulated the leadership of the party in Osun State for a successful conduct of the congresses of the party in the state.

Dr. Eddy Olafeso thanked all leaders of the party from Osun for taking the bull by the horn and did the needful.

He congratulated the newly elected Chairman of the party in Osun State for his doggedness, astituteness,and ruggedness in getting hold of all necessary machineries of politics to emerge “as a validly elected State Chairman of PDP in Osun State in a rancour free elective congress on the 25th of March 2018.”

Dr. Olafeso prayed for a successful tenure for Hon. Olasoji Adagunodo and his team. He however advised him and the leaders to reach out to others who contested against him for a peaceful resolution of all possible misgivings adding that “together we are stronger.”

He advised that his team must carry everybody along for a successful outing in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State this September.

Elder Yemi Akinwomi in his own speech also congratulated Hon. Soji Adagunodo whom he said his name travelled farther than him.

He pleaded with the leaders particularly to be mindful of the aggrieved members of the party and the need to reach out to them and carry them along in the scheme of things.

Responding on behalf of other leaders from Osun State, Erelu Olusola Obada, CON, a BoT member and former Minister told the gathering that a reconciliation committee has been set up and is already reaching out to all those who needed to be appealed to.

Chief Ebenezer Babatope also informed the meeting that leaders are already working on the skirmishes brought about by the post congress reactions and it is being handled by the reconciliation committee.

Dr. Olu Alabi also affirmed that he was already working on the peaceful resolutions of the minor differences in the party with particular reference to the Senator Iyiola Omisore and his followers in order to paddle the canoe of the party to a safe harbour.

Feeding the party bigwigs with reports from Osun, Hon. Adagunodo revealed that peace move in the party was yielding result already and that the party was making preparation ahead of the coming gubernatorial election in the State.

Corroborating the reports of Adagunodo, Senator Olu Alabi assured the Zonal Leadership and the delegations of Osun PDP’s readiness to resolve the internal imbroglio in the State so as to ensure the party unseats the ruling APC in the State come September 22nd, 2018.
