The bank used the end-of-year show for children organised at the weekend by Nnenna & Friends, a subsidiary of Wale Adenuga Productions Limited at the Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos, to inculcate the savings culture in them.

Addressing participants at the occasion, Mrs Olayinka Ademo, popularly called Nnenna; said the purpose of the event was to create an avenue for children to come together, celebrate, learn and have fun.  “It is no gainsaying the fact that God has been very faithful and merciful to us right from the first day in the year to this very moment”, she said.

She said the event was organised to wrap up the hustles and bustles of the year 2015 with a view to giving the children a memorable experience that would linger in their memory for a long time.

She thanked Heritage Bank for the magnanimous support Nnenna & Friends has been enjoying from Heritage Bank since the inception of the brand, which she said has assisted in the actualisation of its mission. According to her, the mission of the group was to provide dedicated commitment to developing the young minds of children through edutainment.

Mr. Patrick Foster, Team Lead, Education and Youth Unit, Heritage Bank, said that the mission of Nnenna & Friends aligns with the mantra of the bank, which is “… to create, preserve and transfer wealth across generations.”

Foster said that being leaders of tomorrow, the bank has created specific financial products that children could explore to safeguard their future while cultivating the habit of saving.

He therefore enjoined parents to ensure they open an account for their children so as to take a full benefit of the products.

Hosted by Nnenna, the Nnenna & Friends Live show is organised on special occasions to entertain children and teens. It provides an avenue for a variety of popular actors, comedians, musicians, dancers and other artistes in the entertainment industry to engage with their young fans.
