This is how Apc plans to rig kogi Elections PDP issues statement

PDP raises alarm over alleged plan to rig Kogi guber poll.

 

 

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has raised alarm about alleged plans to use voters from Osun state to rig Saturday’s governorship poll in Kogi state.

The party, in a statement issued in Osogbo on Thursday by Prince Diran Odeyemi, its spokesperson, fingered the state governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the brain behind the plan, saying over 15,000 members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, have been briefed about how the rigging will be perfected.

The PDP added that the plan is to move Osun APC members to some local governments in Kogi state considered to be Prince Abubakar Audu’s strong base where  voters’ cards will be distributed to them so as to be able to vote for APC.

 

It further added: ” we want the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mr. Solomon Arase and the Director General of the Department of the State Security, DSS, Mr Kifasi to immediately act on this information  and prevent the move by Osun governor to storm Kogi with APC members from Osun.

“We want to recall the arrest of some APC members from Osun state led by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Aregbesola on Inter Governmental Affairs, Mr. Waheed Lawal, on the eve of 2014 Anambra state governorship poll by the eagle-eyed men of DSS in Imo state enroute Anambra state.

 

“It should not also be forgotten the role played by Aregbesola in the failed efforts to unseat Governor Segun Mimiko in 2002 Ondo governorship poll and his financial efforts to return Dr. Kayode Fayemi to office as Ekiti state governor for another term last year June.”

PDP also called on President Mohammadu Buhari to impress it on those manning security apparatuses of the country not to be partisan in the discharge of their duties  adding that the gains recorded since 1999 that democracy returned to the country must not be allowed to be rubbished by the “few power drunk individuals”

It also called on eligible voters and stakeholder’s in Kogi state to be vigilant and report any suspicious person to the law enforcement agents.
