#Ekiti does not spend N210m on streetlights#
Just read from the APC e-rats that Ekiti State Accountant General said N210m is being used to power streetlights monthly.
That’s a lie!
Here are the facts.
The N210,336,000.00 mentioned in the Capital Outflow by the Accountant General is for the following purposes among others:
1. Provision of Water chemicals and Diesel for the State Water Corporation.
2. Purchase of Diesel by the General Admin Dept (GAD) for Governor’s office and govt house.
3. Counterpart contributions on FG projects.
4. Diesel for streetlights.
5. Security agencies.
6. Electricity bills for government offices, etc.
In their usual mischievous manner, the APC e-rats picked only maintenance of streetlights from the expenditure highlighted by the Accountant General, forgetting that their lies won’t travel far.
Ekiti got a total sum of N2,044,365,970.16 from federation account in September, with N200m as IGR.
