July was undoubtedly the busiest and most rewarding month of 2015 so far. Remember when our founder Tony O. Elumelu CON dubbed this year the ‘Year of African Entrepreneurship’? That certainly came to fruition from July 10-12 when we hosted 1,000 African entrepreneurs at the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP) inaugural bootcamp. With 2 days of intense networking and development sessions, bootcamp was an absolutely enthralling experience that will enrich the lives of not just the entrepreneurs, but all of us privileged enough to be a part of this transformative programme.
I encourage you to go through the articles and links presented below and immerse yourselves in the TEEP experience.
As if that wasn’t remarkable enough, July was also the advent of Obama’s Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Foundation was present in full force- both literally, and through our incredible beneficiaries. Alumni Shadi Sabeh, TEEP mentor Jean Patrick Ehouman, and Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur Tonee Ndungu all took to the stage at GES and did us all very proud as they shared their entrepreneurial journeys respectively.
July also saw the launch of our 86-page report on African Entrepreneurship based on the surveys of our TEEP Network of over 20,000 people. See the link below to read in full. All of these wonderful activities are seeds that have been sown in confidence that we continue to add value to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Africa and beyond. If you share our passion and vision, and have any ideas as to how we may collaborate with your organisation, do get in touch, and let’s continue to push this thing forward.
