SEGUN ADEWALE (AEROLAND) DEBUNKS ILL HEALTH STORY; CHALLENGES YAYI’S VICTORY AT TRIBUNAL

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Lagos West Senatorial District in the last National Assembly election, Segun Adewale a.k.a Aeroland has debunked online reports that he suffered ill health as a result of his loss during the election.
Adewale in a chat with journalists in Lagos on Sunday, 3rd May, 2015, stated that he is hale and hearty saying that he never lost the election in the first place hence tale of suffering ill health did not arise.
According to him, it was his belief that he won the election that informed his
decision to challenge the victory of Honourable Solomon Adeola (Yayi), who was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), at the Election Petition Tribunal.
“As you can see, I’m hale and hearty. I have no reason to suffer any ill health because we know that we won that election but it was manipulated by INEC in favour of my opponent and that is why we have approached the Tribunal to seek redress,” he said.
According to him, when INEC announced Adeola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the election, as a law abiding citizen, he had to go through due process in ‘retrieving our mandate and that is why we have to go to the Tribunal. You can check at the Tribunal that our case has been incidented there”. Adewale stated that this is not the first time he would be declared loser in an election he believed he won but has always sought redress at the Tribunal and he would continue to do so since it is the legal way to seek redress after election.
“I’m in politics to serve the people at higher level to complement what I have been doing as a private individual hence I keep on presenting myself for service. I’m not desperate to occupy politics position because for me politics is not a do or die affair. I’m comfortable, why should I suffer ill health because of being declared loser in an election I won? He wondered.
Adewale stated that to confirm his state of health he is set to travel to Dubai on Monday, 4th May, 2015 to attend a seminar.
