The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, will be in Ibadan, Oyo State, on his nationwide campaign on Thursday.
The party made this known in a release issued by its Director of Publicity, Mr. Olawale Sadare.
The party said that General Buhari would, on arrival in the state capital, pay a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Samuel Odulana, Odugade 1, after which his train will proceed to the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
Thereafter, the Buhari train will proceed to the Mapo Hall in Ibadan for a statewide rally, said the release.
In the same vein, the APC has said that the Accord Party in the state, having being overwhelmed by the soaring popularity of the APC in the state and at the national level, had resorted to cheap propaganda and outright falsehood to discredit the party.
It said this in a reply to what it called the “the ingenuous fabrication” of the Accord Party which it said manifested in an allegation being spread by the party that the APC had ordered the closure of all markets, as well as ordering students not to go to work in honour of Buhari.
“This allegation is cheap and indicates the shallow-mindedness of those who concocted it. For the benefit of the doubt, out party-led government never ordered anyone to stay at home. What Accord Party and Ladoja do not know is that the Ajimobi and Buhari candidature have become a movement which cannot be halted by lies and fabrications,” the APC said.
