Part of these efforts is the appointment of Goodwill ambassador s that will be unveiled to the public in phases.

In the last one week, the ambassadors who have identified with, and also undergoing enrolment procedures to NEIHIS have been involved in the shooting of Public Service Announcements (PSA) for the scheme. The PSAs are meant to feature prominently on partner television and radio stations with a view to educating practitioners about the scheme and encourage mass enrollment.

The first four goodwill ambassadors that have featured in the entertainment industry health insurance scheme PSAs are; legendary musician- 2Face Idibia, Veteran DJ Jimmy Jatt, Immensely talented actor-Yemi Solade and indefatigable comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka. These great entertainment personalities have made themselves available to join NEIHIS in the institutionalization of the scheme and finally put an end to avoidable deaths and other health challenges enveloping the entertainment industry. DJ Jimmy Jatt and Gbenga Adeyinka who have been part of the process from the beginning expressed their profound joy that the scheme is finally kicking off while Yemi Solade expressed his intense believe that begging for alms when chips are down will no longer be tolerated as the scheme is meant to eradicate all of that.
