Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA 2015) has picked the PDP expression of interest form for the senatorial slot of the Ondo South Senatorial District at the Ondo state headquarters of PDP in Akure.As at the time of going to the press, Otunba Akingboye appeared to be the only PDP contestant for the Ondo South Senatorial seat, who has shown committed interest in really wanting to occupy the senatorial position.

The Ikale born politician picked the expression of interest form in an official event where Akingboye said his motive is to provide quality representation for the people of Ondo South senatorial district. Otunba Akingboye had in his entourage his supporters among whom were Ondo South Senatorial district youths who were excited about Akingboye’s ambition.

In a related development, Otunba Akingboye got an unusual massive support from the youths in the course of the week. The youths in their thousand had danced round the town of Okitipupa in an endorsement road – show for Otunba Bamidele Akingboye. The leader of the youth forum for Akingboye, Mr Ola Iwaeni said Akingboye enjoys the youths’ support because he has what it takes to facilitate the development of the district. He stressed that his background as a successful business man will count for him in the senate, maintaining that Akingboye won the heart of the youth because ordinary people in the street associate with him and he easily identifies with them too.

In his response, Otunba Akingboye said he feels humbled by the massive support he has received so far from the youths, the aged, the business class, the market people and all the good people of Ondo South who are yearning for change and development in the Ondo South Senatorial District.

Otunba Akingboye promised not to let down the peoples’ trust reposed in him when he eventually gets their votes that will see him to the senate in 2015.

Otunba Akingboye will be paying a grand host to people from all walks of life as he buries his father in a grand style at Okitipupa this weekend.
